Sound files management (queue position and holdtime announcements)

Once the type of sound files and frequency of playing messages in queue have been established, select the actual sound files to be played:

  • queue-thankyou - the sound file to be played to the caller when all queue members are busy and the caller is on hold;
    The file may contain a message related to the time spent on hold (e.g.: Thank you for your patience ).
    The variable is set by default to play the default PBX file hold_the_line.wav with (PBX / Sound files section)
    If the default message need to be customized, a new message must be recorded and uploaded in Sound files. Then select the name of the new uploaded file as the value of the variable.
    If you do not want any message to be played, select the value silence1.wav / silence5.wav (silence 1 second / silence 5 seconds).
  • queue-callswaiting - the sound file to be played to the caller if all queue members are busy and the caller is placed on hold;
    The file may contain a message related to the time spent on hold (e.g. calls waiting)
    The variable is set by default silence1.wav (messages won't be played; silence 1 second).
  • queue-thereare - the sound file to be played to the caller when all queue members are busy, and the caller is placed on hold;
    The file may contain a message regarding queue position. (e.g. There are)
    The variable is set by default silence1.wav (messages won't be played; silence 1 second).
  • queue-youarenext - the sound file to be played to the caller if all queue members are busy and the caller is placed on hold;
    The file may contain a message like: You are next in line.
    The variable is set by default silence1.wav (messages won't be played; silence 1 second).

If the default messages need to be customized:

1. record new messages
2. upload the files in Sound files
3. select the names of the new uploaded files as the value of the variables.
