How to change the On Hold default music¶

Steps to follow in order to change files such as Music on hold used in PBX:

1. Managing sound files such as music on hold¶

Open PBX / Music on hold to add or modify sound files delieverd to callers waiting in a queue.
The sound files need to be in .wav format and you need to make sure that copyrighting law is followed, acoordingly to the law.
the sound files can comprise tunes or recorded messages.

In this section there are several options:

• upload multiple sound files, used in queues
• modify uploaded files by overwriting with new ones
• listen current sound files by clicking the mentioned icon below
• download current sound files by clicking on the icon mentioned below
• delete uploaded files by clicking the option delete according to the image below

After each operation, click on the Save sounds button

Next to each uploaded sound file the name of the queue will be displayed that is linked to, in the Queue field (if there is any association).

2. Files usage music on hold¶

2.1. Waiting in Queue

• Open the necessary queue from section PBX / Queues / Edit Queue in order to assign a file such as music on hold to the queue
• Select for the variable value musiconhold one of the sound file uploaded in PBX / Music on hold.
  All uploaded files in PBX / Music on hold will be shown in the list of the appropiate list of the variable - musiconhold .

2.2. Hold & Transfer (Project)

• Open the needed project from section Settings / Projects / Edit Project in order to assign to it a file such as music on hold
